Home~ Team USA

Home

Hold on, to me as we go
As we roll down this unfamiliar road
And although this wave is stringing us along
Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home

Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found

Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home

Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found

Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home

These are the lyrics that play during the gymnasts little commercial before they start competing.  The most recent winner of American Idol, singing. '

I feel like the Olympics has come at a memorable time.  I'm sure all the other Olymic years have been important, and maybe I just wasn't focused enough to enjoy them and appreciate them.

We've been in the midst of wars.  Overseas, and political.  Chick-Fil-A anyone?  We live in a country where most of the time we are choosing sides.  Football, basketball, Obama or Romney.  Gay or Straight.  Jesus or no Jesus.  Everywhere I look, people are arguing, trashtalking, disagreeing, choosing to stand for what they believe in.

Team USA, the red, white and blue.  Are representing everyone, no matter if you are all about the Panthers or a Kobe Bryant fan.  They are the only team that we all get to cheer for, that we all get to be proud of, that we all get to call the Home team.  So even if you aren't watching right now, they are still your team.  You're America- with all our conflicting views- we stand for USA, hard work, strength, and unexpected winners!
